The Plano Aquaducks is the recreational swim team for the Plano Parks and Recreation Department. They were founded in the summer of 2000 and have grown from 35 to 250 swimmers since that time. The Aquaducks are affiliated with the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation. The Aquaducks swim at Oak Point Center.
The Aquaducks strive to provide a fun, family-like, atmosphere as they expose kids (ages 6-18) to the great sport of swimming. They provide opportunities for kids to swim throughout the year in a non-threatening environment where they can make new friends and excel at their swimming skills. Our coaching philosophy is for the kids to have a great time while we provide them a good balance between stroke work and conditioning.
The team is open to kids ages 6-18 who can swim 25 yards of freestyle or backstroke without stopping and without assistance. A tryout will be conducted after the swimmer is registered.
